Lately I have been listening to Brand New Deja Entendu and I have to say it is a great cd for those into emo and screamo music. WHen I try to explain them I would have to say that they are like Taking Back Sunday and Yellowcard on a collision course without the violin and piano. Deja Entendu is just a bit better than Your Favorite Weapon, which was brand new's first album. Some memorable songs with Deja Entendu would have to be The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows, Me vs. Maradona vs. Elvis, The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot, and Sic Transit Gloria....Glory Fades. These aren't the only good songs on the cd though, in my eyes the whole cd is great. Most of their music dervives on the basis of sad slow emotional times. Songs like Sic Transit Gloria...Glory fades discusses the fact of someone loosing their virginity. While Me vs. Maradona vs. Elvis talks about a guy taking advantage of someone. and overall not feeling bad about it, but how it sounds it doesn't seem to discuss that. Well i could keep going and going on but I'll just leave you with this last note, Brand New is awesome and if any screamo/emo fan needs something new to listen to pick up Deja Entendu by Brand New! 5 out of 5
