* What If Gas Was $10.00 A Gallon..
Article submitted on July 12, 2008, 10:31:52 PM by diP
We all need it. If you have some form of transportation that has an engine, you need it. It is a necessity in everyday life, gas that is; and it is expensive as hell. In a medium sized city that it live in (Little Rock, AR.) average price for a gallon of gas is around $3.95. It now takes around $35 dollars to fill up my Ford Focus. That, my friend, is obsurd.

And as time pass by, gas prices continues to rise. Is it President Bush's fault? Is it because of the war? That is for another debate at another time. I personally feel that no matter what the price of gas is, it will be purchased. People need it. You have to have gas in your automobiles to get to work everyday, or to take little Jimmy to his soccer games. Sure there are other alternatives to beating the high gas prices (Public Transportation, Bicycles, etc.), but if you have an automobile, how many people would really choose public transportation over the confort of their own vehicles? Not many that I know of.

Its a matter of supply and demand. Gas companies supply us with high gas because we demand it; no matter how outrageous the prices are. If one million people decide to stop buying gasoline because of high prices, that will not cause a chain of price drops in gas; because you would still have about three million people continuing to purchase said gasoline. A 3:1 ratio (well three million to one million) would still be enough for gas companies to profit.

So why complain?
Gas is expensive.
So what. Get over it.
You need it.
You will buy it.

Period.
