I am a very big matchbox twenty fan, but i have no idea how many alternative rock fans are on twg...so when i heard they were getting back together AND were working on a new TWO DISK album, i was pretty happy. They've only released one single (which was pretty damn good) so far (over the summer) but matchbox twenty isn't exactly a one-hit wonder band (none of there songs are outright terrible, and everyone has a different opinion of which ones are best) so i'm thinking there are going to be some awesome songs on here. Naturally, i'm going to buy it, give copies to friends illegally (lawl) and write a review here.

So what are your expectations for the box's first record in 5 years?

The only song by them they play by me is How Far We've Come. I like it though.

I've listened to a few of their older tracks. My brother n law loves them.  They are alright but IM a R&B hiphop kind of guy...

How far we've come is the single from their upcoming record, that's why it's getting lots of airtime.

trench - most people are hiphop/r&b listeners because it's just there. About 100% of people who take time to listen to real music come to prefer it to the point that anything else becomes sickening.

I have to go out of my way to listen to any good R&B and Hip Hop, and I still like it. Most anything else like rock is pretty much spoonfed to me.
